Every winter the Golden Knights come to the Yuma ProvingGrounds for training and of course every winter we go
and watch and take pictures. This year we took Suz and
Frank with us, and we had a good time watching and
learning.
The fist picture is a close up of the knights getting there gear
on and ready to go. Whenever I see a flag I have to snap a
picture, this one is the MIA flag. Third picture is of Suz, Frank
and Wayne watching a jumper coming down. The next three
pictures are of a perfect landing.
While listening to them pratice there speal they told us about
night jump training. The wind is the calmest between
3:00 am and sunrise, so on the 14th they had night jumps, and
it would be open to the public. This sounded interesting, so we
got up at 2:00 am S & F got here at 3:00 am and off we go, get
there and the last three pictures are what we saw. You know
Me I have to get pictures of everything. What happens if the
wind is 20 mph or over they do not jump. They also only do
the night jump once per season.
By now it is 400 am what to do but go to the casino.......did not take pictures of this because it was not a pretty site. We had fun playing several different games. Paradise casino was where we ended up and they start serving 99 cent breakfast at 5:30am, so we had to take advantage
of a special like that.
Came home and crashed for a couple hours, will more than likly go to bed early tonight.
Later B
