Hi Everyone,
What a wonderful time I am having in AZ. The first 10 day was spent with friends in Apache Junction. On the go all the time, pool and sun, fun and most welcome. Had lots of great dinners and party's, even make some new friends, imagine that. Went to the Arizona Opry, this was my second time and enjoyed it more than the first. Great time at the American Legion, fun band and dancing. Played cards every night before bed..... Thanks Linda and Dick for another wonderful visit.
Now I am with Wayne and Darla in their Motor home. We are camped at Lake Pleasant, nice lake, the hill side has lots of Cactus. Have taken pictures of the sunset two nights.
Yesterday we drove over to Wickenburg, went to the Vulture Mine, Wayne and I spent at least and hour and half doing a walking tour, you could go anywhere you wanted you just had to be careful and watch out for Rattlers...... We had so much fun taking pictures, 155 in all. We could poke around all the buildings and of course the kitchen was my favorite. When we got back we found out that the mine closed at 4:00 and it was 4:30 Darla said they kept checking to see if they could see us. They should have reminded us what time they closed..... that is one thing I would highly recommend to go see if you're in the area. There is a Cowboy museum there that we just might have to go back and see if we have time.
Today we went to Peoria for the Mariners and Padres first spring training game, that was lots of fun. No one will believe this but I only had a Indian fried bread taco..... That's right, NO peanuts, NO pop corn, NO hot dogs and NOT EVEN a beer. We have tickets for Saturdays game and then we will head for Yuma that afternoon.
Just having to much fun and loving every minute. LvB
