Here In Hawaii

Hello Everyone.

It is wonderful to be in the land of sunshine, with a little rain and wind. Hear that the surf might be as high as 20 feet in some places today. Think I will stay away from the beach today.

It has been 3 weeks since anything has been posted to my blog, and I have done so much in 3 weeks. The first two weeks was consumed doing family things. Mika's unit was activated, so January 5 they flew to Travis for training, the ruomor is they will be sent to Iraq in about 3 months...... of course all that is subject to change.

Went to China town and that was interesting. First day Issue for the Chinese New Year stamps. There was saw Lion dancers, it was so good, enjoyed and had never seen a dance like that before. Had to go to Shiro's, they are known as Simin Heaven and I believe that.

The 9th our friend Lynn flew in from Corning and we had 10 days of doing lots of different things. Some days we played tourist, and it was loads of fun, you can really do a lot of stupid stuff while playing tourist and no one thinks a thing about it.

Some of the highlights of Lynn's trip was Arizond Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine, it is a 1942 sub, also toured the Missouri. Play and dinner at Manoa Theater "Over The Tavern" that was so funny, it was opening night so that was special. Did the "Shangri La Tour, Doris Dukes home built in the 30's on Diamond Head.. That whole tour is beyond words, you would just have to be there. Polynesian Cultural Center, the night show, that is always a sure thing. Radio show and breadfast with Perry and Price, that was at Jonh Domimis, that was fun but we did not win the trip to Las Vegas. Of course we did the Blow hole, beaches, drive around the Island, Icey at Matsoumoto, sunset on the beach.... I am sure we did more that all that but you know how it is when you get older.....

Today I made 300 home made Raviola, Yummmmmm, not sure when we will have them. Not even sure who all will be here, if they go home hungry it will be there fault.
